I’m Carlos Carballo, an investor based in Maryland.

I co-founded and lead Flipmax, a business-purpose lender doing RTL and DSCR loans. I also co-founded Upmake and Vinhere. I spent two decades writing software before lending, and I’m still a programmer — one who loves business.

This blog is where I write things down to understand them better: lending, capital markets, programming, and getting a little better at all of it over time.
